All about our Clever Collies acting dogs
On these informative pages you will be able to find all about our wonderful Border Collie sheepdogs and just what makes them so clever! By 'Clever' we mean the Border Collie`s unique ability to learn supremely quickly by experience and apply that knowledge to everyday working or recreative life.
Our kennel was founded in 1999 in Llangwm, Wales, U.K by our first female Border Collie: Tegwen her father is the first ever World and ISDS Supreme Champion sheepdog: Bob (ISDS 224454) and Tegwen`s mother is Lil (ISDS 223944)
Tegwen (ISDS 246675) is a highly intelligent, clever and athletic bitch, she has a medium-texture coat of lustrous tri-colour fur, she is of light-build (16.5 kg.) has excellent shepherding skills (for both close-in work or at distance) via whistle or voice commands. She has a superbly friendly temperament and has a patient, calm and predicable character. She is self assured when meeting/working with strangers, young children and farm livestock. She enjoys photographic/video-work sessions and has an excellent attention span. Tegwen is blessed with highly expressive ears which add greatly to her repertoire of facial/emotional responses for the camera.
Tegwen has good media experience working as both principal and as an extra on Tv./video-advertisements, advertising-media stills shoots and in-house video productions.
Tegwen shares her home with her two working/acting sons:
Cody (ISDS 259018), is a black and white coated, handsome and very enthusiastic dog. His great strengths are; loyalty, kindness, physical presence and competitiveness, biddability. Cody is a 'happy clown' and a 'sportsman' some have described his temperament as like a typical 'bloke'; his endearing personality means he makes friends easily and enjoys work (of all types), in particular; photographic/video-work. He has a large physical presence (23 Kg.) and sports a coat of lustrous long fur, he has a 'quirky' grey-speckled ear and has a repertoire of tricks and behaviours which he will perform on command. Cody is always predictable and happy: both in the studio or on location, working around crew/cast-members, strangers, young children and animals. (but he dislikes explosions/gun-fire).
Metheny (ISDS 265389), is a tri-colour (often referred to as 'black, white & tan'). His great strengths are; problem solving, loyalty, gentleness and great biddability. Like his brother Cody, he has a repertoire of tricks and skills to show, and has a particular ability to appear sad/subdued for the camera (even though he is not!). Metheny is still a young dog and has a very-lithe and athletic physique (16 Kg.). He has a rough coat of 'shaggy' fur and has been described as a 'ragamuffin' sheepdog. Metheny has a very biddable working style and that combined with his calm/kind temperament makes him an excellent worker on set. He is predictable and happy around; cast/crew, children and farm livestock.
